The Challenge
This project presented several challenges, primarily due to the intricate design of the flooring. Catering to geometric complexity of fitting square tiles into a circular pattern demanded exceptional skill and attention to detail, making it a tricky challenge for Procera’s fitters.
Additionally, working within the existing architectural constraints of the space added to the challenge. The installation had to accommodate an irregularly skewed polygon layout, which required precise planning to minimise wastage and ensure seamless integration with the overall design.

Solutions
To tackle the challenge of creating a perfect blue circle from square tiles, Procera used precise measurement techniques. Detailed CAD drawings were crucial, mapping out every tile’s exact position. This planning phase helped spot and fix potential issues before showing the design to the client, ensuring a seamless final installation.
Procera also used custom-cutting strategies, overfitting far more than usual to accommodate for the unusual layout.
This involved meticulous tailoring of each tile to match the unique angles of the space, thereby compensating for potential errors and reinforcing the tiles’ structural integrity and longevity. This careful customisation minimised waste and ensured a perfect fit, which not only preserved the design’s aesthetic appeal but also enhanced its durability. This method underscores Procera’s dedication to superior craftsmanship.
